The activities of holding companies in Malaysia are governed by the Companies Act 1965. Holding companies in Malaysia are required to comply with the following requirements:

1. Holding companies in Malaysia must have a minimum paid-up capital of RM2 million.

2. Holding companies in Malaysia must maintain a registered office in Malaysia.
