Appraisal Services For Real Estate Companies in Malaysia

Real estate appraisal in Malaysia is governed by the Board of Valuers, Appraisers and Estate Agents Malaysia (LPPEH). All appraisers must be registered with the Board, and must adhere to the Board's code of ethics and professional conduct.

The Board provides two types of appraisal services for real estate companies in Malaysia: commercial and residential. Commercial appraisals are for properties used for business purposes, such as office buildings, retail space, and industrial buildings. Residential appraisals are for properties used for living purposes, such as single-family homes, condominiums, and apartment buildings.

Appraisers use a variety of methods to value properties, including the market approach, the income approach, and the cost approach. The market approach uses comparable sales data to estimate the value of a property. The income approach estimates the value of a property based on the income it is expected to generate. The cost approach estimates the value of a property by looking at the cost of replacement.

Appraisers must have a bachelor's degree in real estate, business, economics, or a related field. They must also complete a minimum of 20 hours of continuing education every year.
