Buying Or Selling Companies in Malaysia

The Malaysian government has put in place a number of policies and regulations to encourage foreign investment in the country. One of these is the policy on the sale of companies in Malaysia.

Under this policy, foreigners are allowed to buy and sell companies in Malaysia with certain conditions. For instance, the company must be registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) and have a minimum paid-up capital of RM2 million.

In addition, the buyer must be a Malaysian citizen or a company that is registered in Malaysia. The sale of the company must also be approved by the Minister of International Trade and Industry.

This policy has helped to make Malaysia an attractive destination for foreign investors. It has also made it easier for Malaysian companies to be sold to foreign buyers.
