Mining Of Gold Companies in Malaysia

Gold mining in Malaysia is conducted on a small-scale basis. There are four gold mines in the country, namely the Selinsing Gold Mine in Pahang, the Penjom Gold Mine in Kelantan, the Raub Gold Mine in Pahang and the Semenyih Gold Mine in Selangor. Gold mining activities in Malaysia are regulated by the Ministry of Primary Industries.

The output of gold in 2005 was 2,153 kg. As of 2009, there are four gold mines operating in Malaysia, which are Selinsing Gold Mine in Pahang, Penjom Gold Mine in Kelantan, Raub Gold Mine in Pahang and Semenyih Gold Mine in Selangor. The annual production capacity of gold was 2,153 kg in 2005. In 2006, there was a total of 18,715 kg of gold mined in Malaysia. The major gold producers in Malaysia are the Selinsing Gold Mine and the Penjom Gold Mine, both located in the state of Pahang.
