Business Of Electricians Companies in Malaysia

Electricians in Malaysia are required to have a valid license in order to operate. There are two types of licenses that electricians can apply for: the Practicing Certificate and the Registration Certificate. The Practicing Certificate allows electricians to carry out electrical work in Malaysia, while the Registration Certificate allows electricians to register with the Malaysian Electrical Contractors Association (MECA).

In order to obtain a Practicing Certificate, electricians must have at least three years of experience and must pass an examination set by the Board of Electrical Engineering. Those who wish to obtain a Registration Certificate must have at least five years of experience. Electricians must also renew their license every three years in order to continue practicing in Malaysia.

The electrician industry in Malaysia is regulated by the Malaysian Electrical Supply Industry Act 1990 (ESIA). This act provides for the registration and regulation of electricians and electrical contractors in Malaysia. The act also establishes the Malaysian Electrical Supply Authority (MESA) which is responsible for issuing licenses to electricians and electrical contractors.
