Buying Or Selling Commission Agents And Otherwise Deal In Goods Companies in Malaysia

A commission agent is a company that acts as an intermediary between buyers and sellers. Commission agents typically charge a fee for their services.

In Malaysia, commission agents and other companies that deal in goods are regulated by the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (MDTCA). The MDTCA requires these companies to be licensed and to comply with certain regulations.

The MDTCA has published a list of requirements that must be met by companies that wish to obtain a license to operate as a commission agent or to deal in goods. These requirements include having a registered office in Malaysia, having at least two directors who are Malaysian citizens, and having paid-up capital of at least RM500,000.

Companies that are licensed by the MDTCA are required to maintain records of their transactions and to submit reports to the MDTCA on a regular basis. These companies are also subject to inspection by the MDTCA.
