Export And Import Of Oil Seeds Companies in Malaysia

Malaysia is one of the world’s leading producers and exporters of oil seeds, with companies such as Sime Darby, Golden Hope Plantations, and IOI Group among the largest in the country. The palm oil industry is particularly important to the Malaysian economy, with the country being the second largest producer of palm oil in the world after Indonesia.

Oil seeds are used in a variety of products, including food, cosmetics, and biofuels, and as such there is a large demand for them both domestically and internationally. Malaysia’s oil seed exports are largely focused on palm oil and palm kernel oil, which together account for around 90% of the country’s total oil seed exports.

The majority of Malaysia’s palm oil exports go to India, China, and the European Union, with India being the largest market. India is also the largest market for palm kernel oil, followed by the EU and China.

Malaysia’s oil seed exports have grown significantly in recent years, with the value of exports increasing from RM4.4 billion (US$1.1 billion) in 2010 to RM11.6 billion (US$2.9 billion) in 2016.
