General Investment Dealings Companies in Malaysia

A general investment dealings company is a company that is licensed by the Securities Commission of Malaysia to undertake investment banking activities. These activities include acting as a principal adviser, underwriter, placement agent, and broker for securities and other financial products.

A general investment dealings company must have a minimum paid-up capital of RM5 million and must comply with the requirements set out in the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007 and the Securities Commission of Malaysia’s Guidelines on Licensing of Investment Banks.
