General Management Companies in Malaysia

A general management company (GMC) is a company that provides management services to businesses and organizations. GMCs offer a range of services, including financial and accounting management, human resources management, marketing and sales management, and operations management. GMCs are typically hired by businesses and organizations that do not have the internal resources or expertise to effectively manage their operations.

GMCs are regulated by the Malaysian Companies Commission (MCC). The MCC requires GMCs to be registered and to comply with certain financial and operational requirements. GMCs are also required to submit annual reports to the MCC.

The GMC industry in Malaysia is growing rapidly, with the number of registered GMCs increasing from just over 200 in 2010 to more than 600 in 2016. This growth is driven by the increasing demand for management services from businesses and organizations in Malaysia.

The GMC industry is highly competitive, with many GMCs offering similar services. GMCs compete on the basis of price, quality, and reputation.

The top three GMCs in Malaysia by market share are KPMG, Ernst & Young, and Deloitte. These three GMCs account for more than 60% of the GMC market in Malaysia.
