General Traders Acquisition Of Lands Companies in Malaysia

In 2014, General Traders, a Malaysia-based conglomerate, acquired two land companies in Malaysia for a total of RM1.2 billion. The acquisitions were made through General Traders' subsidiary, GT Land Berhad.

The two companies acquired were Kumpulan Hartanah Selangor Berhad and Kumpulan Hartanah Melaka Berhad. These companies own a total of 12,871 hectares of land in Selangor and Melaka, respectively.

The acquisitions will allow General Traders to expand its property development business in Malaysia. In addition, the acquisitions will also give General Traders a foothold in the Malaysian property market.
