Importers And Exporters Of Companies in Malaysia

The Malaysian government has been very proactive in supporting the growth of local companies that are involved in exporting and importing. This is because exports and imports play a very important role in the country’s economy.

Exports from Malaysia totaled RM341.4 billion (US$85.4 billion) in 2018, up from RM334.4 billion in 2017. Malaysia’s top export categories include electrical and electronic products, palm oil, petroleum, liquefied natural gas (LNG), wood products, and optical and medical instruments.

Imports into Malaysia totaled RM303.5 billion (US$75.4 billion) in 2018, up from RM288.2 billion in 2017. Malaysia’s top import categories include electrical and electronic products, machinery, petroleum, chemicals, and vehicles.

Some of the largest companies in Malaysia that are involved in exporting and importing are Petronas, Sime Darby, CIMB Group, and Genting Group.
