In Malaysia Or Elsewhere Companies in Malaysia

Companies in Malaysia are required to comply with the Companies Act of 1965. This act provides for the incorporation, registration, organisation, and operation of companies in Malaysia. All companies registered in Malaysia must have a registered office in Malaysia, and must appoint at least two directors who are resident in Malaysia.

The Companies Act of 1965 requires that all companies maintain proper accounting records, and submit annual financial statements to the Registrar of Companies. The financial statements must be audited by a registered auditor.

The Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM) is the statutory body responsible for the regulation and supervision of companies in Malaysia. The CCM has the power to investigate and prosecute companies and directors who have breached the Companies Act.
