Iron And Other Metals Companies in Malaysia

The Malaysian Iron and Steel Industry Federation (MISIF) is the national industry association for the iron and steel industry in Malaysia. Its members comprise integrated iron and steel producers, ferrous scrap and pig iron processors, steel product fabricators, steel stockists and traders, engineering companies and other service providers to the industry.

MISIF members produce iron and steel products that are consumed by a wide range of industries, including construction, fabrication, electronics, packaging, oil and gas, automotive and machinery. They are also involved in the production of steel for use in infrastructure projects such as highways, bridges, airports, railways and power plants.

The iron and steel industry in Malaysia is a major contributor to the country's economy, accounting for about 4% of GDP in 2015. The industry also provides employment for about 70,000 people.

Malaysia is a major producer of iron and steel products in Southeast Asia and is one of the world’s leading exporters of steel. In 2015, Malaysia exported 8.4 million tonnes of steel products, worth US$8.4 billion.
