Meat Companies in Malaysia

Malaysia is a major producer and exporter of halal meat. The country's halal meat industry is worth an estimated RM8 billion (US$2.3 billion) and employs tens of thousands of workers.

The majority of Malaysia's halal meat companies are located in the northern state of Perlis, where they benefit from the state's favourable climate and proximity to Thailand, one of the world's largest markets for halal meat.

Perlis is home to over 60% of Malaysia's halal meat companies, which produce a range of products including chicken, beef, mutton, and duck. The state is also home to the country's largest slaughterhouse, which can process up to 1,000 animals per day.

The Malaysian halal meat industry has seen strong growth in recent years, due to increasing demand from Muslim countries such as Indonesia, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. This growth is expected to continue in the coming years, as the global Muslim population continues to grow.
