Oil Palm Plantation Companies in Malaysia

Oil palm plantations are a major source of income for Malaysia, with the country being one of the world’s largest producers and exporters of palm oil. There are a number of oil palm plantation companies in Malaysia, with some of the largest being Sime Darby, Golden Land Berhad and IOI Corporation.

These companies own and operate large palm oil estates, which are usually located in remote areas of the country. The palm oil trees on these estates are managed and harvested by a workforce of largely migrant workers, who are often paid very low wages and work in poor conditions.

The palm oil produced on these plantations is used in a wide range of products, including food, cosmetics and biofuels. It has come under criticism in recent years for its environmental impact, with deforestation and habitat loss being major concerns.

Despite this, the demand for palm oil continues to grow, and the industry is likely to continue to expand in Malaysia in the years to come.
