Pharmacies Companies in Malaysia

Pharmacies in Malaysia are regulated by the Pharmacy Board of Malaysia, which is a statutory body under the Ministry of Health. There are three types of pharmacies in Malaysia: community pharmacies, hospital pharmacies and industrial pharmacies.

Community pharmacies are the most common type of pharmacy and are usually located in retail outlets such as supermarkets, hypermarkets and standalone shops. Hospital pharmacies are usually located within hospitals and dispense medication to patients as well as provide other pharmaceutical services to hospital staff and visitors. Industrial pharmacies are usually located within factories or other industrial premises and provide medication and other pharmaceutical services to employees.

The Pharmacy Board of Malaysia is responsible for regulating the pharmacy profession in Malaysia and setting standards for education, training and practice. The Board also issues licenses to pharmacy premises and registers pharmacists and pharmacy assistants.
