Properties And Investment Holdings Companies in Malaysia

A property and investment holdings company is a company that owns, manages, and develops property and other investments. In Malaysia, these companies are regulated by the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA).

MIDA requires that property and investment holdings companies have a minimum paid-up capital of RM20 million (approximately US$5.6 million). The company must also be registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM).

MIDA-licensed property and investment holdings companies are allowed to own, develop, and manage properties in Malaysia for commercial, industrial, or residential purposes. They can also engage in other activities such as property management, development consultancy, and project management.

To date, there are more than 200 property and investment holdings companies in Malaysia with a combined paid-up capital of RM40 billion (approximately US$11.1 billion).
