Property Dealing And Investment Holding Companies in Malaysia

Property dealing and investment holding companies in Malaysia are subject to the Companies Act 1965. These companies may be either private or public companies. Private companies are limited by shares or by guarantee, and public companies are limited by shares. A property dealing and investment holding company may carry on business as a property dealer, an investment holding company, or both.

A property dealing company is one which is engaged in the business of buying, selling, or otherwise dealing in immovable property. An investment holding company is one which is engaged in the business of holding investments in companies or other entities.

A property dealing and investment holding company must comply with the requirements of the Companies Act 1965 in respect of its incorporation, share capital, directors, and shareholders. It must also comply with the requirements of the Land Code in respect of the acquisition, disposal, and development of immovable property.

A property dealing and investment holding company may be wound up voluntarily or by the court.
