Providers Companies in Malaysia

Healthcare in Malaysia is provided by both public and private hospitals. There are a total of 1,262 hospitals in Malaysia, with 654 being public and 608 private. The public hospitals are managed by the Ministry of Health, while the private hospitals are managed by various companies.

The Malaysian healthcare system is divided into three tiers: primary care, secondary care, and tertiary care.

Primary care is provided by general practitioners, community health clinics, and health posts. Secondary care is provided by specialist clinics, district hospitals, and community hospitals. Tertiary care is provided by university hospitals and tertiary referral centres.

The Malaysian healthcare system is financed by a mix of public and private sources. The government provides free basic health care to all citizens, as well as subsidised secondary and tertiary care. Private health insurance is also available, and many Malaysians choose to purchase this type of insurance to supplement their coverage.

Malaysia has a number of internationally accredited hospitals, such as the Gleneagles Kuala Lumpur, which is accredited by the Joint Commission International.
