Railway Companies in Malaysia

The Malaysian railway system is operated by a number of different companies. The two main operators are Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM) and Express Rail Link (ERL).

KTM is the national railway company and operates the majority of passenger and freight services in Malaysia. ERL is a privately-owned company that runs the high-speed rail service between Kuala Lumpur and the airport.

There are also a number of smaller companies that operate local and regional services. These include the Penang Hill Railway, the Sabah State Railway and the Sarawak Forestry Railway.
