Realty Investment Companies in Malaysia

REALTY INVESTMENT COMPANIES IN MALAYSIA are firms that engage in the business of real estate investment. They are also known as real estate investment trusts (REITs). These companies pool money from investors and use it to purchase, develop, and manage properties. The aim is to generate income for the investors through rental income and capital appreciation.

REALTY INVESTMENT COMPANIES IN MALAYSIA are required to comply with the Real Estate Investment Trusts Act 2012 and the Malaysian Code on Corporate Governance. The Securities Commission Malaysia is the regulator of these companies.

As of June 2019, there are 10 REALTY INVESTMENT COMPANIES IN MALAYSIA with a total market capitalization of RM39.4 billion. The largest company by market capitalization is Axis Real Estate Investment Trust, followed by IGB REIT and Sunway REIT.
