Telegraph Companies in Malaysia

Telegraph companies in Malaysia are responsible for providing telegraphic services to the public. These companies are regulated by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC). There are currently two telegraph companies operating in Malaysia, Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) and Maxis Communications Berhad (Maxis).

Telegraph services in Malaysia were first introduced in 1885 by the British colonial government. The service was initially only available to government offices and businesses. In 1892, the service was made available to the public.

TM is the largest telecommunications company in Malaysia. It offers a wide range of telecommunications services, including telegraphic services. TM operates a nationwide telegraph network consisting of over 3,000 km of telegraph lines.

Maxis is the second largest telecommunications company in Malaysia. It offers a range of telecommunications services, including telegraphic services. Maxis operates a nationwide telegraph network consisting of over 1,000 km of telegraph lines.
