To Examine Companies in Malaysia

Companies in Malaysia are subject to the Companies Act 1965, which sets out the rules and regulations governing the incorporation, operation and dissolution of companies in Malaysia.

The Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM) is the statutory body responsible for the regulation of companies in Malaysia. The CCM has the power to investigate companies and take action against those that are not complying with the Companies Act 1965 or are operating in a manner that is detrimental to the interests of the public.

To examine a company in Malaysia, the CCM will firstly request for certain documents from the company. These documents will be used to assess the financial position of the company and to determine whether the company is complying with the Companies Act 1965.

The CCM may also carry out on-site inspections of the company premises in order to obtain further information about the company's operations. After the examination has been completed, the CCM will prepare a report on its findings.

If the CCM finds that a company has breached the Companies Act 1965 or is operating in a manner that is detrimental to the interests of the public, it may take action against the company. This may include ordering the company to rectify the breach, imposing a fine on the company, or even striking the company
