To Organize Companies in Malaysia

The Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM) is the regulator for companies in Malaysia. Companies in Malaysia are required to be registered with the CCM. The registration process is simple and can be done online.

Once a company is registered, it will be assigned a unique company number. This number must be used in all correspondence with the CCM. The company must also display its registration number at its registered office.

After registration, the company must comply with certain requirements, such as holding annual general meetings, preparing financial statements, and maintaining registers of directors and shareholders.

The CCM has the power to investigate and prosecute companies that violate the Companies Act. The maximum penalty for a company convicted of an offence is a fine of RM2 million or imprisonment of 10 years, or both.
