Further to our announcement dated 24 May 2022 in relation to the public shareholding spread of Berjaya Land Berhad (“BLand” or “Company”), the Board of Directors of BLand wishes to announce that the public shareholding spread of the Company has improved to 17.10% following placements of BLand shares carried out by the substantial shareholders in June and August 2022.

Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (“Bursa Securities”) had, vide its letter dated 28 March 2022, granted BLand further extension of time of 6 months until 22 September 2022 to comply with the approved public shareholding spread of 20% (“Approved Public Spread”).

The Board of Directors of BLand is aware of its responsibility to comply with the Approved Public Spread. Hence, the Management of BLand continues to explore and identify viable cum effective proposals to rectify the shortfall in the Approved Public Spread. BLand proposes to submit an application to Bursa Securities for further extension of time to rectify the shortfall in the Approved Public Spread.

The Company will make the necessary announcement(s) as and when there is any update on the above.
