Dato Jeffrey Lai Jiun Jye received his education primarily from Singapore and New Zealand. Upon receiving his Bachelor of Commerce and Management in year 2000, he assumed the position as the Director in JB Paper Carton Sdn Bhd and JBP Packaging and Hardware Enterprise.

From 2014 onwards, Dato Jeffrey has been appointed as the Executive Director of Kuopacific Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. Kuopacific Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is mainly involved in property, retail, medical and education. He is also Director and Chief Executive Officer of Paragon Private and International School located in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Paragon Private and International School was awarded for The Best Performance in newly set-up school by Lang International Corporate Titan Awards in 2018.

Dato Jeffrey is actively involved with the Johor Bahru Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry and held the following positions:
1. Director cum Chairman of Public Relations committee, Johor Bahru Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, 2012-2014
2. Director cum Chairman of SME & HRD committee, Johor Bahru Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, 2015-2017
3. Treasurer of Youth Committee, Johor Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, 2015-2017 
4. Director cum Chairman of Youth Committee, Johor Bahru Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, 2018 to 2020
5. Deputy Chairman of Youth committee, Johor Associated Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, 2018 to 2020
6. Central Committee for member of ACCCIM Young Entrepreneurs Committee, 2018-2020

He believes through education, Malaysia is able to have a skilled workforce that can support the nation to become a developed country.
