CIMB Berhad ("the Company") is pleased to announce that the duration of the Executive ESOS would be extended for another five (5) years immediately from 29 December 2007, being the current expiry date of the Executive ESOS ("Extension").


The effective date of the Executive ESOS is 30 December 2002 and the Executive ESOS is currently in force for a period of five (5) years from the effective date. With the Extension, the expiry date of the Executive ESOS would be extended to 29 December 2012. In summary, the current tenure and extended tenure of the Executive ESOS are set out in Table 1 below.

    The Extension is in accordance with the by-laws of the Executive ESOS and does not require the approval of the shareholders of the Company. Malaysia Securities Exchange Berhad and the Securities Commission have been informed in relation to the Extension.
