CIMB wishes to announce that the Company has today received the Certificate of Incorporation dated 9 April 2004 from the Companies Commission of Malaysia for the incorporation of a new subsidiary, CIMB Private Equity Sdn Bhd ("CIMB PE"), bearing company registration No. 648424-H. The intended principal activity of CIMB PE is that of investment holding.


The present authorised share capital of CIMB PE is RM1,000,000 divided into 200,000 ordinary shares of RM1.00 each and 80,000,000 preference shares of RM0.01. The entire issued and paid-up capital of CIMB PE of RM2.00 comprising two (2) ordinary shares of RM1.00 each are beneficially owned by CIMB.
