CIMB wishes to announce that its wholly owned-subsidiary, CIMB Private Equity Sdn Bhd, had on 7 June 2004 received the Certificates of Incorporation dated 4 June 2004 from the Companies Commission of Malaysia for the incorporation of two new subsidiaries, CIMB Private Equity I Sdn Bhd, bearing Registration No. 654919-T ("CIMB PE I") and CIMB Mezzanine I Sdn. Bhd, bearing Registration No. 654976-D ("CIMB Mez"). The intended principal activities of CIMB PE I and CIMB Mez are that of investment holding.


The authorised share capital of CIMB PE I is RM 1,800,000 divided into 100,000 ordinary shares of RM 1.00 each and 170,000,000 preference shares of RM0.01 each while that of CIMB Mez is RM 850,000 divided into 100,000 ordinary shares of RM 1.00 each and 75,000,000 preference shares of RM0.01 each.

The current entire issued and paid-up capital of CIMB PE I and CIMB Mez of RM2.00 respectively, each comprising two (2) ordinary shares of RM1.00 a share, are beneficially owned by CIMB Private Equity Sdn. Bhd.
