CIMB wishes to announce that its wholly owned-subsidiary, CIMB (L) Limited ("CIMB Labuan"), had on 18 June 2004 received the Certificates of Incorporation dated 15 June 2004 from the Labuan Offshore Financial Services Authority for the incorporation of two new offshore subsidiaries, CIMB Private Equity General Partner Limited, bearing Registration No. LL04296 ("CIMB PE GP") and CIMB Mezzanine General Partner Limited, bearing Registration No. LL 04295 ("CIMB Mez GP"). The intended principal activities of CIMB PE GP and CIMB Mez GP are to act as general partners of private funds to be established in the Federal Territory of Labuan.


The authorised share capital of CIMB PE GP is USD 2,000,000 divided into 2,000,000 shares of USD 1.00 each while that of CIMB Mez GP is USD 1,000,000 divided into 1,000,000 shares of USD 1.00 each.

The current entire issued and paid-up capital of CIMB PE GP and CIMB Mez GP of USD2.00 respectively, each comprising two (2) ordinary shares of USD 1.00 a share, are beneficially owned by CIMB Labuan.
