On 28 April 2020, it was announced that the Board of Directors of EKA has resolved not to extend further the date to satisfy or waive the conditions precedent in accordance with the sale and purchase agreement in relation to the acquisition of Kepala Batas Bihun Sdn Bhd (“KBB”) pursuant to its Regularisation Plan arising from the fire incident at KBB and an application for extension of time has been submitted to Bursa Securities for the Company to submit its revised proposed regularisation plan.

Subsequently on 30 April 2020, it was announced that Kilang Bihun Bersatu Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of EKA, had entered into an Exclusive License Agreement with KBB, whereby Kilang Bihun Bersatu Sdn Bhd to accept an exclusive and non-transferable license to use the assets of KBB for a period of 10 years commencing 1 May 2020 to 30 April 2030.

Save for the above, there is no other material development that has not been announced since the last announcement on 1 April 2020.
