CESSATION OF BUSINESS OPERATIONS

The Board of Directors (“the Board”) of EKA wishes to announce that Kilang Bihun Bersatu Sdn. Bhd. (“KBBSB”) and EKA Foodstuff Sdn. Bhd. (“EFSB”), the wholly-owned subsidiaries of the Company, had resolved to close their manufacturing plant and cease their operations with effect from 18 January 2017 (“Proposed Cessation”).

Please refer to the attached announcement for the details of the Proposed Cessation.
