Mr Leong obtained his Bachelor of Commerce and Administration Degree majoring in accountancy from Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand. He is a Chartered Accountant of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and qualified as an Associate Chartered Accountant of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, New Zealand. He is an accountant by profession with extensive working experience of more than 40 years in Malaysia. In his professional roles, he was previously the financial controller and finance director of several foreign-owned multinational companies in the manufacturing, trading and retail sectors, and he subsequently diversified into the commercial sector as a business consultant and financial advisor to both private entities and public listed companies. His financial expertise and business acumen in the media industry has spanned over a period of more than 15 years.
