SARAWAK CONSOLIDATED INDUSTRIES BERHAD ("SCIB" OR "THE COMPANY") - APPOINTMENT OF NEW EXTERNAL AUDITOR

Reference is made to the Company's announcement dated 19 August 2021 in relation to the appointment of new external auditor.

 

The Board of Directors of SCIB ("the Board") wishes to announce that Nexia SSY PLT has received the professional clearance from KPMG PLT in accordance to Section 320 of the By-Laws of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.

 

The Board also wishes to announce that Nexia SSY PLT, which has given its consent to act as auditor of the Company pursuant to Section 264(5) of the Companies Act 2016 via its letter dated 6 September 2021, has been formally appointed as the external auditor of the Company on even date.

 

This announcement is dated 7 September 2021.
