| Shareholders of SSB are hereby informed that copies of the Abridged Prospectus to be dated 12 June 2003 together with the Rights Subscription Form and the Notice of Provisional Allotment relating to the Rights Issue of ICULS (collectively referred to as the "Documents") will be despatched on 12 June 2003 to the entitled shareholders of SSB whose name appear in the Record of Depositors of SSB at 5:00 p.m. on 5 June 2003 ("Entitled Shareholders"). The Documents are not intended to be issued, circulated or distributed in countries or jurisdictions other than Malaysia. The Documents have not been (and will not be) made to comply with the laws of any foreign jurisdictions and have not been (and will not be) lodged, registered or approved pursuant to or under any legislation of (or with or by any regulatory authorities or other relevant bodies of) any foreign jurisdictions. Any Entitled Shareholder residing in countries or jurisdictions other than Malaysia should therefore immediately consult their legal advisers as to whether the acceptance or renunciation of their entitlements to this Rights Issue of ICULS would result in the contravention of any laws of such countries or jurisdictions. Neither SSB nor RHB Sakura Merchant Bankers Berhad shall accept any responsibility or liability in the event that any acceptance or renunciation made by the said Entitled Shareholder is or shall become illegal or void in the country or jurisdiction in which the Entitled Shareholder is resident.
