Reference is made to earlier announcements dated 29 May 2019, 26 August 2019, 4 September 2019, 26 February 2020, 16 March 2020 and 5 May 2020.

As announced on 16 March 2020, Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (“Bursa Securities”) had vide its letter dated 13 March 2020 granted the Company a further extension of time of six months until 19 August 2020 to comply with the public shareholding spread requirement pursuant to paragraph 8.02(1) of the Main Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Securities.

As set out in Section 4.1 of the Offer Document of 2 June 2020, the Joint Offerors do not intend to maintain the listing status of Tasek on the Main Market of Bursa Securities. As such, they will not be taking steps to address the shortfall in the public shareholding spread of Tasek. Pursuant to Paragraph 16.02(3) of the Listing Requirements, Bursa Securities suspended the trading of all Tasek's securities on 11 August 2020 onwards.

Also, as announced on 10 August 2020, the Company had submitted an application to Bursa Securities for the withdrawal of Tasek’s listing status from the Official List of Bursa Securities pursuant to Paragraphs 16.07(a) and 16.10 of the Main Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Securities.

The Company’s public shareholding spread was 2.68% as at 11 August 2020.
