We write to inform that, Tasek Corporation Berhad (hereinafter called "Company") has obtained a 5-year term unsecured credit facility (hereinafter called "Facility") comprising a RM50,000,000 term loan facility (hereinafter called "TLF") and a RM38,000,000 revolving credit facility ("RCF") jointly arranged by Malayan Banking Berhad and Citibank Berhad (hereinafter collectively called "Banks") to partially finance the completion of its RM330 million kiln rehabilitation project.

Both the TLF and RCF bear interest of 1.4% over each lender's 3-months' Cost of Funds. In consideration for the Facility, the Company will furnish to the Banks a negative pledge.

The Facility is not expected to have any material impact on the Company's results for the year ending 30 June 1999.
