On behalf of the Board of Directors of CHHB, Arab-Malaysian Merchant Bank Berhad is pleased to announce that the Company has obtained the approval of the Securities Commission ("SC") on 4 January 2000 for the Proposed Further Expansion of Utilisation of the Proposed Restricted Issue as detailed in Table A. [Please refer to the attachment to view the table]


Further to the above the SC has also approved the Proposed Extension of Time for the implementation of the Proposed Restricted Issue for six (6) months to 28 May 2000.

The SCs approval is subject to the approval of the Companys shareholders in an Extraordinary General Meeting to be convened.
