Further to our announcements dated 6 January 2016,  22 July 2015, 17 June 2015 and 12 June 2015 in relation to the REPPA with TNB, the Board of Directors of Comcorp wishes to announce that Sustainable Energy Development Authority Malaysia (“SEDA Malaysia”) have given their approval for the extension of the Feed-in-Tariff Commencement Date (“FiTCD”) from 31 May 2016 to 2 September 2016. The approval letter from SEDA Malaysia dated 28 June 2016 was received yesterday, 29 June 2016.

Comintel Green Technologies Sdn Bhd ("CGT”) sought for an extension from SEDA Malaysia on 29 April 2016  as it was not able to meet the scheduled FiTCD fixed at 31 May 2016. The reason for the FiTCD extension was that the Company has yet to obtain the approval of permanent licence from the Energy Commission. We have been informed that our application for permanent licence can only be tabled  in Energy Commission’s Board Meeting scheduled to be held at the end of June 2016.

CGT cannot commence its operation until the permanent licence is granted by Energy Commission as it is one of the requirements under SEDA’s FiT.

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, CGT should be able to meet the new extended FiTCD and expected to contribute positively for the financial year ending 31 January 2017.
